just bought my truck, it has 115,xxx miles on it, need to flush trans fluid, which fluid type do these e4od's seem to run better with- synthetic or conventional, are the mercon 3or 4 just curious because i read a tech article that stated ford recomends not replacing the filter, and i know it uses 18 -or+ qts, plus a few to make sure its flushed, any thoughts would be appreciated as im a mechanic, but this is a new to me tranny never have messed with it, thanks!
