Unhappy transmission problems

I have a 1992 F150 5.0 L 4x4 xlt automatic and when I am slowing down it either down shift REALLY hard! or it just doesn't shift down at all, and when I try to go it will go really slow and never shifts up because it is already in overdrive.if I turn overdrive off while am slowing down you can feel it shift out of overdrive alot smoother.

so I think overdrive is my problem ...so tell me what you guys think.

I think you need to look on youtube and watch some videos on rebuilding an auto and then go get a few electronic controllers that are regular replacements and then drop that thing and pop them in. once your done and everything was super easy you can report back with your findings.
