Default Is this a transmission problem?

I have a 1996 F150 5.0L 4x4 Eddie Bauer edition automatic and i think i might have a transmission issue. Some info on my truck, it has a three inch body lift and 33x12.5x15 tires. I know that the bigger tires mess with the stock gear ratios and that it is harder on the trans. When my truck shifts into 4th gear its at about 40 mph and 1100-1200 rpm. There is a real bad shuddering that seems to almost pulse in series as im slowly accelerating from 40-50 mph. as soon as i hit 50 mph (1500 rpm) the shuddering stops.i feel like maybe its trying to down shift for more power as it is very sluggish in 4th gear but if im going about 33-40 mph at about 1000-1100 rpm it doesnt shudder, only from 40-50 mph. sometimes the shudder isnt very harsh and other times it really shakes the truck. does this sound like a transmission problem? any advice would be great! also if im looking at replacing my whole transmission is there a better option than what i have now?

My truck has 111000 miles on it. i have a bottle of transtune that i plan on using soon and would really like to get the transmission flushed.

Techrep:
Just curious, what makes you say its a warped flywheel? Ive never dealt with one before and dont know what to look for to diagnose it.

thanks for all the help

I was trying to really pay attention to it today and even when im accelerating at 2000 rpm from 40-50mph in 3rd gear to get past that range when i hit 4th gear i feel a very slight pulsing vibration still. not sure if this changes anything

I highly recommend this product as I have used it numerous time to correct your issue. It is available at most parts suppliers and will provide immediate results.

that's who makes the stuff i was referring to. I have used that shudder fix in a 97 mountaineer and never again had an issue with it. THAT STUFF IS AWESOME
