so i had a mechanic replace my transmission because my transmission kept on locking up in reverse and in neutral and it feels like theres no power when its in drive. the mechanic already replaced the transmission twice because everytime they put another one on, it still lock up in reverse and neutral after driving it for about 30 to 45 minutes but the last tranny they put in, it wouldn't lock up in neutral but reverse still isn't engaging. anyone knows what this could be because i dont think its the tranny if they replaced it twice already.

i have a 92 f150 automatic 2wd with a 5.8 motor

 

Third times a charm! Get your money back & go to another shop. The luxury of paying to have the work done, is you aren't supposed to have to think (other than picking a reliable shop), just make sure your check doesn't bounce!
