Smile Transmission Issues.

Hey,
OK. I have a 1993 Ford F150 XLT with a 302FI, 4spd o/d. The transmission has a B&M electronic shift improver in it. It has 3 settings (off, setting 1 and setting 2). When it's off, every gear is fine but 3rd gear clunks. When it's on setting 2, every gear is fine but o/d clunks going into gear. And, when it's in setting 1, pretty well every gear clunks real hard. Now, when I'm just driving along doing the speed limit, and floor it, it shifts down nice but when it's going back into 3rd or o/d when I'm still picking up speed or going up a hill, it clunks no matter what the shift kit is on. I am just wondering if anyone else had these "hard shifting" problems with their trannys. If anyone has any suggestions, or reasons why it might be clunking so dam hard going in gears, could you please let me know? Thank you so much.

the B&M Shift Destroyer is the main crux of your problem. They are notorious for killing transmissions because line pressure isnt adjusted properly, as in ONLY at the point of shift, it is done across the board, which is very bad, mmkay!

Okay, thank you very much. Another thing that would probably help is change the filter/fluid. It might help it a little bit on top of taking that B&M out.
