Default Transmission Issues

I have a 1992 F-150 2wd with the 302 and the e40d and I think I may have lost second gear. The truck acts fine when I put it in drive until it tries to shift into second and it's like the transmission locks up. The trucks skids to a stop like I slammed on the brakes and the engine bogs pretty bad. Reverse, drive, and first engage like normal, but then I put it in second, the engine idle drops slightly like it's engaged, it just wont do anything when I try to drive it. Also, the truck won't start in park, only in neutral. I checked the codes and got a 654 wich is MLP sensor not in park position so I changed the MLPS with the upgraded kit, but still nothing with that. As far as the other issue, I've already replaced the fluid and filter, installed the Sonnax Sure Cure kit with all the upgraded parts, tried 2 different solenoid packs, and changed the VSS, but still no change in results. I'm really at a loss here and I'm really hoping you guys can help me. Thanks in advance.
