Default Transmission help

OK I have been reading on hear for awhile ............searching and finally have to ask.
I have a 1994 F150 4x4 automatic 5.0 . Transmission is shifting hard from 1-2nd and on occasion will hang between 3 and OD. speedo is working fine. After much reading on here I have replaced TPS with no help. Went to Autozone yesterday and bought the speed sensor for the tranny only to go replace it today and can't find one on my tranny.

Any help here????

Is the throttle vacuum cable adjusted properly? How long has this been going on?

the speed sensor on yours i believe is not in the tailshaft of the tansmission but in the housing of the differential, if im not mistaken. And its a VSS or something like that. Not cable driven, like mine.

yes, vss on rear axle. Range sensor on drivers side could also be a possibility.

Another thing is the fan clutch. This is often overlooked but can cause bad shifting, and lead one to look at the trans. Run the trans for codes, if nothing then look at the fan clutch, sometimes they run too much when they fail.
