I am getting ready to change the transmission fluid in my 95. It has low miles only 73k, but I'm not sure if it has ever been changed. Thinking of spending the extra money and putting synthetic with sea foam transmission treatment. I only drive my truck once a month or so. Would it even be worth the extra cost? Thanks

 

Depends on if you have a manual or automatic.

 

It is an automatic od.

 

Drain it. Clean the pan really good. New filter/screen. Add new fluid. Don't power flush it or add detergent, just keep clean fresh fluid in there.

 

Also does anyone know what transmission type U is? Can't seem to find if it's AODE or E4OD.. Thanks
