i am about to do this myself for the first time, i do know that there are 2 types on pans on our trucks, so have the person at the store print off some pics and crawl under and look so you get the right one.

From what I understand, one is the e4od with the 20 bolts. And the other is the 3 speed with 17 bolts.

Take off all the bolts except the front ones and just slowly unbolt the the front ones to let the pan drain.I always dab a little grease on the new gasket(after cleaning the old gasket off) to keep iton the pan for easier install. Not hard to do.

Make sure you get a smart clerk at the counter. Took them 3 times to get me the right gasket/filter. 3rd time I took my pan in so they MADE Sure we got the right one.

The 3rd one was the right Gasket, but the tube on the filter had to be cut a couple inches or it wouldn't fit. All is well now though.
