Wondering if there is an alternative to the m5od transmission. Zf transmission? I have 95 f150 with the 302 and just not a big fan of the mazda tranny.

The mazda tranny is decent but the zf is much better.
As long as you get a zf from a small block (300,302 or 351) it will bolt right up

Alright, yeah I did a quick search for one and I could only find it bolt up to a 351. I think the mazda is on her way out so seems like a good time to switch. Thanks

The 460 and diesel zfs were a bigger bellhousing, otherwise they will bolt right up
