Default Transmission

In my 1992 302 f150 my AOD transmission is going out on it so I wanted to replace it with an offloading one with shifting on the fly 6 speed like in the new f250s but I don't know what they are called to google them or brands or really anything so if you know anything I would really appropriate it thanks

For something like that, have most likely go aftermarket. Dont think the newer 6 speed will bolt to the windsor based motor. Be allot of custom work into it, adapter plate to mate to motor, X-member, driveshafts & some type off tranny controller. Dont think there is a controller out made for the 6 speeds yet. Been looking for something like that for my 93 mustang project. Putting a 5.0 Coyote motor and considered the new 6 speed auto out of a new mustang. But cant find a electronic controller for the new 6 speeds.

Not really one of the new ones just like the new ones but made for the Windsor for offloading and rock climbing while still being street legal

there were only 2 good "offroading" manual transmissions are the NP435-4speed, and the ZF-5, they never made a shift on the fly 6 speed that will bolt to our trucks, or any 6-speed for that matter.
