I have a 93 ford xl 4x4 w/5.0..MY ? is the trany shifts hard or you may call it bangs into each gear..What should I start to look for..It is a auto trans..It also has overdrive on it..HELP if you can..THANKS

 

I am having the same issue, I will tell you what i have done but i have not managed to fix it yet. I took it to a auto trans shop who told me it needed a compete rebuild. Post rebuild its acting exactly the same. After reading the forums for a bit I came across the MLPS and nuts holding the shift tube in place. I would check those latter first before working inside the transmission.
