Default Trans swap???

Ok I got a 96 f150 4x4 5.0L with a 5 spd. As we all know the factory 5 spd is pretty weak and cant haul a heavy load for very long. What I want to know is if I found a 5 spd out of a 5.8 F250 4x4 is it interchangeable? Would I have to swap the transfer case as well, and if anyone would know the trans model number for the 250 that would be helpful also.

The Windsor block is the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the 302. The transfers are the same between the truck of the same body style, if it has a different body style you could switch the transfers. They have the same input shaft and bolt patterns so they are bolt up.
