trans problem

88f150 broke rear universal and caused driveshaft to break, as well as breaking tail shaft housing. I replaced both and I only have reverse and first gear. Any ideas?

could have been the oppostie way?trans broke which locked up and twisted the driveshaft while the rear tires were spinning?

cause it sounds like the trans is shot too

Hate to say but trans might be junk, if you broke the tail shaft housing the wobble probably hurt some parts inside. You can check the electrical harness too it might have vibrated loose.
