trans problem?

Default trans problem?

Have a 96 f150 with 302 2wd
on cold starts in morning truck will lightly
lurch forward in park, once warm seems
to be ok. also while driving and coming to
a stop i then accelerate and get a
clunk. i was told the clutches in rearend
stick and to change rearend fluid
no change any ideas?

no i think the trans is the e40d

you should have the 4R70W 4sp auto.

check ujoints and your rearend fluid.

howmany miles on the truck?

just changed rearend fluid and greased
u-joints.
truck has 120k miles on it
