Default Trans / Comp question

If I swap out my 5 speed, for any other straight drive, that will bolt up, will it have any effect on the ECM? Got a couple of ideas running through my head since the 5 speed will have to be worked on, or possible replaced......

No, only if you change to an auto. The only thing about the manual is the output shaft size, but they are probably the same. Transes should be the same length, but measure in case you will need a longer\shorter drive shaft.

Thanks! Next question, anybody ever bolt up a 6 speed, factory or aftermarket in these? Just thinking out loud!
