Default Trams option for 5speed

Anyone know what trans was available in the 88 f150 with the five speed, or how I can find out or where to find the numbers.

I think it was just the M5OD and the ZF that were available, are you trying to tell them apart?

Ik trying to find out what one Iv got cause Iv gotta get a new slip yoke for the rear

I'm gonna say most likely a M5OD, it has vertical and horizontal ribs along the side of the case. The ZF has diagonal ribs along side of it.

Vert. And horizontal, wasn't there also a t-18 or something offered?

I'm not sure, but a T-18 is a 4 spd and has a separate bellhousing

the zf5 was NOT available in f150s. you have the m5od
