Torque Converter Install
I am in the process of converting my 1992 F150 302 E4OD to 4x4. I have got the front traction beams in and want to start in on the transmission here soon.
I have got a rebuilt 1992 4x4 E40D transmission to install in place of my current 2 wd trans. The 4x4 trans did not come with a torque converter so it's on me to install the new one I bought.
When all the way seated what is the measurement off the face of the bell housing to the tip of a torque converter stud?

Thank you. I did it and have about an 1/8" gap between my straight edge and bell housing.
And the torque converter 'feels' like it's seated all the way plus I felt the 3 clicks as I spun it down.
On a side note: When removing the original 2wd trans's torque converter nuts I will have to spin the engine with a pry bar to access each nut
My question is when looking from the back of the engine what is the proper direction to spin a 1992 302 Windsor? Clockwise? Counter clockwise? Does it matter?
I just don't want to do any damage by spinning the engine backwards
