I think the stock rims are 15x7, but not 100% sure on that.

15x8 are mine and yes 31x10.5x15 fit with no rub. My truck came off the assembly line with 265/75/15s on it though. Yours may have only had 235/70/15 on it. Check door jam sticker it will tell you. Either use shims or the correct tire size for the truck.

Same for me, door sticker lists the 265's as stock size. It is frustrating, because every site lists the 235's as stock when you search for tires by the vehicle.

I know bro and when you try to find used ones good luck on that. Most people always tell me I am wrong that my truck had 235s on it and I have to prove it to them. Most 265s I find are 16s. I would love some 5 bolt 16 inch rims lol.

When I was trying to sell my stock polished aluminums, a guy who came to look at 'em told me that before about 1990 the aluminums were 7in wide, but in '90 or so they had identical wheels only difference being the .5in width, and had them both made in the same year. I know my '91 came stock with 15x7.5 aluminum according to the door sticker, but now you guys have me wondering if the steel wheels I put on are 15x7s... And for the record my stock size is also 235/75R15.

Can you post some close ups of 10.50 wides on a 10 inch wide wheel? I'd LOVE to do that to put the tires where I want them but it seems like that wheel would be too wide, with only a quarter inch of tire outside the rim

31x10.5-15 on stock steel and I get radius arm rub. I also noticed that with truck on jackstands the shocks limit the spring travel. Is this what you were getting at when you mentioned not enough shock travel. Would too short shocks cause rub?
