Default Tires

I need to put a new pair of tires on my 1991 F150 Supercab 4.9L 4x2. Right now, it's got an elderly set of Goodyear Wrangler all-terrains on it. I'm thinking of replacing those with some Firestone Destination A/Ts based on cost. Intended use is mostly on-road use with some light dirt and gravel.

My budget is around $600 for all four. Any ideas?

I got my wranglers for $500 I think. But I mounted them my self. And had a friend balance them for free

I got yokohama geolanders AT/S and I love them. I got them for 96$ apiece because tirerack.com listed them cheaper than discount tire, so discount tire beat their price.

there are a bunch of people here who swear by the goodyear wrangler authority (walmart specific tire, kind of cool, cheap).

I have literally the exact same set up and use as you, and I've decided to get BFG rugged terrains, because they're pretty cheap (~120 /per), have the same styling as the bfg all terrain, which I like, but is much more highway friendly etc. Ask The Collector about them, he just installed a pair recently.
