Default tire mounting question

i know this is off topic of the ford section of this forum, but i recently bought a set of cragar 15x10 rims with no tires. my question is will the tires on my truck now (265/70/15) mount onto these rims? and if so how will it look? or do i just need to go ahead and get 295/50/15s?

265 millimeters is approximately 10.4 inches tread width. 295 millimeters is 11.6 inches.

Suggest the 265 setup will look full, but it should work OK. For a similar setup, check out my garage - the Jeep has 33x12.50R15 tires on a 15x12 rim.

It'll go on fine. Tires shouldn't balloon really, you'll probably have a completely straight sidewall with no curve at all, not a bad look!
