Default Timing QUestion

i just checked my timing, and its at 22degrees, its supposed to be at 10 is that a big enough issue to cause problems in the timing and what problems would that cause?

also where is the spout connecter so i can properly adjust the timing? haynes doesnt say where it is.

On that truck it should be right by the distributor in the harness that connects to the distributor. Its just a little grey plug. Thats why its at 22 degrees.

No, Stock base time is 10 BTDC. If you check your timing w/ the spout plug in, your looking at base time + additional ECU advance. After removing the spout plug you will probably see your base time at 15 BTDC. I run at 16 BTDC, but your engine must by devoid of combustion chamber deposits & otherwise healthy not to ping under load at that base time setting. The Spout connector hangs off the TFI module.
