Default Tie Rod Question

I'm looking to replace the inner tie rod link on my truck. The existing tie rod has this metal tab at one end as shown in the link below. The replacement parts I have found with this tab are considerably more expensive than the one that Autozone carries, which does not have the tab.
What is the purpose of the tab?
Thanks,
Jon

The point of the tab is to help keep the tie rod adjustment sleeve from turning. Really no need as long as the person doing your alignment tightens the sleeve back up.
