Default ticktick

Ihave a 94 f150 302 and it has developed a tick tick noise on he way to work this morning. Everything looks ok, oil pressure, heat gauge, fuel economy is no worse, and it's not losing power. Could this just be a noisy lifter. I think if the engine was blowing it would be horribly louder. If it is a lifter how do I stop the ticking. When it's in the park or neutral you can barely hear it. But when you put a load on it like putting in to drive or reverse it gets louder. A coworker told me its probly a noisy lifter and to use lucas oil. Help help.

how loud of a tick is it, its not weird for these trucks to have a tick, heck my f150 had a tick for 2 years and it still runs perfect. aslong as its not a overly loud tick.

Could also be a noisy injector.
