A few other things... but lets rule out the TPS first... tell us when you get that voltage reading....

Many times a "Tamperproof Phillips" head screw is used. A #2, I believe. As to weather yours is supposed to be the "adjustable" type depends on the year of your engine.

Ive got .96volt on idle and 4.61volt at max throttle. It runs rough still. Worse than the old one. The old one fluxuated in rpm but had power. New tps has no power and when at idle the rpm is erratic...not by much...but doesnt run smooth

that actually looks pretty spot on, comparing the table in my manual. full throttle should be around 4.5V, and about 0.6V at closed throttle. I believe the throttle should be completely closed at idle, right? someone correct me if I'm wrong but at idle airflow is controlled by the IAC rather than the throttle

which manual do you have? mine is #26664 in the upper right corner of the cover, the tps chart is on p 4-21. It is possible to install the tps sensor rotated some amount so it sends an incorrect voltage. My manual stresses that if the sensor needs to be adjusted to rotate it ONLY in the clockwise direction. Unfortunately it doesn't specify a frame of reference so that's not super helpful. but that might be what's going on here.

Of course, you disconnected you battery for a minimum of 5 minutes to clear the Kept adaptive memory, as should be done when "any" sensor is replaced.

That's only for adjustable TPS's. Not sure that a 90' 302 calls for "adjustable".

Yes i've disconnected the battery. I just changed it to .6volt. Waiting on reset time for computer. Ive also have fresh fuel because i replaced both tanks and the fuel filter. New air filter as well. Headers and dual exhaust. Symptoms didnt get worse till i did the cel and started workin on throttle body.

the manual seems to imply that both can be found, but I'm not sure I trust that
