Default Throttle issues and High Idle issues.

So I have a 93 F-150 XLT with the 302 and M5OD Tranny. On start up it idles around 1500 and a minute or two drops down to 1100 - 1000 Rpm. Also the throttle moves fine when the truck is off but when it's running it is kind of stiff. When you also rev it up it stays in the rpms longer than usual.

Just a thought, but check your idle air control valve. Should be bolted to the side of the throttle body. It is mainly responsible for the amount of air the engine gets at idle, which directly influences rpm

So after some tinkering around I backed off the idle screw a little and sprayed some wd40 aroind the springs on the throttle body and moved them around. It's a lot better now and fixed most of it. I still will be replacing both TPS and IAC here soon hoping it will fix all my issues. But for now it's good and or better than it was before.

On the 302 the egr is located on the passenger side of the throttle body, and a bit behind
