Ok last fall I stalled at a red light and the I.P.S was changed and after that it was fine. The truck gets stored winters so she has sat for five months. One nice dry salt free day I took her to get gassed up and when I went to leave the pump she wouldnt start up . pushed her out of the way and walked home, after an hour or so I went back and Varoom,... away we went back to the garage....What are yiour thoughts people?

 

dont thinks it'd be the tps. the tps will cause high idle and hard shifting

 

Next time this happens pull the codes under the no start condition. I would pull codes now just to see if the computer stored it. Sounds like a bad wire some where. Did you hear the pump come on when it didn`t want to start? Things I would try before walking home is taping on the starter relay, wiggle wires under the hood and dash and look at the battery cables on the battery. Did the starter crank?

 

Yup the fuel pump filled the rail when the igniton was engaged. all crank no fire. If it happens again ( at home) I'll check for spark. I did some wire wigglin while running and all seemed ok .

 

If you have a hard time starting after fill-ups, its the vapor canister purge valve stuck open. It actually floods the engine with vapor.
