Default Thoughts on my brake issues

So I am in the midst of replacing I-beam pivot bushings and radius arm.
Now I know that I need to replace the master cylinder. When I pulled the brakes apart I noticed that the pads on both sides had a taper from one end to the next. Would on suspect caliper or the cylinder or way off and it's the rotor?

Does the rotor look pretty pitted? My guess would be the caliper myself but that's nothing more than a guess. Does the truck pull at all that you've noticed when braking hard? Anyone have any input?

The rotor appeared ok! The way it has been handling I could not really say. My daughter had been driving the truck and I new the MC needed to be replaced.

The truck has since been handed back as she got her transport now. So I have been on this frenzy of getting it roadworthy and it seems like it never stops.
I swapped the steering gearbox and while at it the drag link and tie rods.

Of course then I felt the need to tear out all of the interior and give it a good cleaning and paint all of the trim. Got it all back together and thought I was going for an alignment and that's when I found out about the I-beam bushings.

My gosh what a ramble!

Any way that is where I am at. I guess whole I've got it all tore down and I like spending money I might as well have the rotors checked and go ahead and replace the calipers since they look original.

Will it ever end? I don't see it yet!

Tapered pads are normal at brake job time. At a minimum have the rotors turned, if possible. They can look good but be way out of spec. And why gamble on you brakes? New rotors are cheap but do not have enough meat to be turned. So always plan to change them when doing a brake job. While you have it down change the rotor's grease seal and clean and grease the bearings. Rebuilt calipers are cheap. Unless you can rebuild them yourself, buy them. Be sure to flush your brake fluid too.
You have a lot riding on your brakes.
Good luck
