Default Thinking of going with the 351W

I think i might of killed my 302 on saturday towing my 16 foot bass boat. Havent gotten a chance to fully look it over yet but it is missing badly and developed an awesome knock in the bottom end. She has 190,00 on her and i might have worked her to hard that day. But if it is toast i was thinking going with a 351W this time. I know i can get one from a friend that was in a 92 Mustang but its carb'ed. Im no master mechanik but i know it should bolt up to everything but what all would have to changed like the computer, witch i know would most likely be elminated, but will i need to swap out the AODE trans or would it still work and what not. I not set on doing this just wondering what would have to done to accomplish this. Any thoughts or links would be appreciated

My suggestion is don't get the 351 if you drive your truck regularly, I have one and let's just say I'm a regular at the gas station. But if you only use it sometimes, like for pulling the boat, then I guess its worth it l. As for what you have you change, I have no idea.

I'm not one to invent or invite issues, 302 engines are available all over, replace or rebuild what you have. Avoid the confusion and frustration.

Thats what im thinking of doing but if i can get the motor for free of really cheap i will go that route i know that motor is fairly built and more power never hurts!

The expense will be an stand alone ecu for the trans, aode transes are integrated with the efi, or if you can get a c6 or an aod, go for it.
