Default Thinking about converting to Carb from EFI

So I have a 88 F150 with the 300 motor. I cant get it to run, tried everything I can think of.
It's starts with ether, injectors dont pulse.
Tried replacing high pressure pump, computer, TPS sensor, checked pressure, checked injectors. Cant find anything wrong.

So I'm pretty much done trying to get the EFI working. nobody can tell me whats wrong.

My question is.. can I bolt on a carb and intake from an older truck? and Can I use the stock distributor with the computer and everything? I would basically be using the computer just to make the motor spark but would it still spark if I unplug all the efi stuff?

If that is possible then I was thinking I could also unhook the electrical connector from the High pressure pump and just use the in-tank low pressure pumps to supply fuel. and install a adjustable regulator of course.

I'm only wanting to do this as a last resort, trust me I have invested enough time and money already. It's just going to be for farm use so MPG emmissions etc... arent important. I just want it to RUN!
