Default Thingamajig in the engine bay

First time posting here, and I need a little help figuring out what this thing is. Unfortunately I have no idea how to post images, so here' a link to pictures of said thingamajig. http://imgur.com/a/FbwsO

I noticed this as I was running a power wire the other day. I am wondering what the importance of this is, and what I would need to do to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I can't remember what its called but it is the thingy that controls the air recirculation function. If you reconnect that vacuum line to the vacuum line coming out of that big bundle you should be good to go, assuming the line to the air controls from the bundle is still good.

Well, I can't see your picture for some reason, but judging by BLDTruths response, I'm guessing its the vacuum control motors that controls the air inlet duct door in the heater air plenum chamber. I'm guessing it's that because it seems that every week, someone asks what "this thing is" because the white vacuum tube that connects to it is ALWAYS corroded to powder. Check out page 12-02-16 and 12-02-17 of this section of the '96 service manual:

Yes, thanks to both of ya'll. Going to try to tackle fixing it after I get off work.
