I'm not sure if t stat is positioned correct in housing is there a way to find correct position for a 96 150 4.9

the spring side goes toward the engine if that is what your asking? other than that it is round no special angle it has to be at.

I got the direction of spring but I have read the angle it has to be a certain way ... Just wondering

i'm a little OCD lol so i put mine so the cross bar was paralel to the ground.like this=== lol

Nope, no particular angle. if you look(or feel) you will notice factory cut grooves in the intake or waterneck that the t-stat will sit in. Make absolutely sure that the t stat stays there, otherwise you'll be having a leak and redoing it.

If the t stat has a small round bleeder hole 1/16 inch it should be turned so the hole is at the top otherwise it doesnt matter. Bubbabud
