Testing TFI-IV ignition module
Don't know how to test the ignition module, but many years ago, my father had a 1977 LTD station wagon that would not start when it was warm/hot. It turned out to be a bad ground on the battery cable that attached to the engine block. Can't say if that is your problem, or not. Maybe some of the other members, with more electrical experience, will be able to help you.
There is no way to test the module itself. What you need to do is get an electrical diagram and check all the inputs to the module. B+, ground, any input with an ACV pulse, etc. Without a wiring diagram it's all a guess.
[QUOTE=wilecoyote;63554]Is there a way to test the TFI-IV ignition module? I have a problem with my 87 4.9 truck not starting after it warms up.
