Default Temp sensor?

I have a '93 xlt with 5.0. Does the computer and gauge use the same temp sensor?
Thanks,
SFD

Nope 2 sensors, the sensor on the thermostat housing is for the computer, the sensor on the side of the block is for the gauge.

Ohh on a 5.0L, I think the computer sensor is right above the housing, on the intake manifold next to the distributor. Should have 2 wires to it.

The one by the distibitor is a air temp sensor. It also works with the water temp and o2 sensor to the computer.
