Default In Tank Fuel Pump OEM Part Number?

Hi,
I have a 1989 Ford F-150 4.9L XLT Lariat 2WD (2 tank) short bed pick-up.

I've been trying to find the EXACT OEM part number for the in tank fuel pumps?

I'm running into 17 gal. tank pumps and 19 gal. tank pumps?

I thought my tanks were 15 gal. each?

Wondering if anyone has replaced theirs and knows some info on this???

Should be able to find it @ Rockauto, lots of choices, the Motorcraft ones are pricey.

Hi,
Thanks, but they are not showing the "in tank" fuel pumps that I see?

There are some FORD NOS pumps on E-bay at decent prices....

Which I would prefer over others!

Just trying to nail down which ones I need???

If you can find the appropriate one in an aftermarket, (center or rear proper gallons) the info tab will supply OEM part #s

Hi,
I have the Hayne's Manual...

And the 3 blue FORD Service Manuals...

I see NO parts numbers in either one???

I guess the Dealers have a parts only index for that?

Saw this, but???

I pulled E7TZ9H307A for the 16 gal side tank, using the method I described on RA then plugged that into Ebay with oem after it, genuine also sometimes works, & got this page;

Hi,
Thanks, I might have to call a FORD Dealer and give the VIN number and get the exact part number?

There are 2 different size tanks and I'm not sure if they are using 2 different pumps?

Can't find any real solid info?

Thanks, again!

I'm pretty sure the shortbeds all had the 16.5 /17 gallon tank, the real variation was metal vs plastic. The one on my shortbed is metal.
I just ordered the inline pump, for my 87 short bed, from RA today, ordered the Denso, the Motorcraft one was over $300, & Denso is good enough for folks like Jaguar, so I'm thinking it will be ok. My object here was to teach you to fish,

Hi,
Well...I guess I'm looking for more solid info?

I'm seeing to many variations, but that is "normal" I guess!
