Default Tachometer Problems

I have a '92 F150, 4x4 Fareside, 5.0 . Everything works fine till today. Soon after starting the engine the tachometer jumps to 2500 with now further movement.Any clue

Just the tach moves or does your engine rev higher with the tach?

Get a new tach, it's toast. Mine used to fly straight to 3600rpm and just stuck there as long as it was getting power.

One trip to the junkyard and $10 later, I had a working factory tach
