Default Tach doesn't work any ideas.

1990 f150. It seems to want to work when i have truck in park and push down on the gas pedal the tach will jump a little. Any help would be great.

Factory tach or aftermarket tach?

If it's factory, probably broken. Mine was broked, with any power to the gauge, it'd go to 3400 rpm. And when I gave it some gas it jumped a little bit. Go get a factory tach from a junkyard, I did, cost me 10 bucks, and it works great.

Agree with mustangGT90201. Probably broken. I'd just go to the bone yard and get a new one. Easiest/cheapest solution.

My aftermarket tach started doing the same thing as what your factory one is doing. Come to find out, the wire going to the coil from the tach was about to fall off. Fixed it, and it's good as new now.
