super 44s flowmasters?
so anyone got any opinion on how loud or quite super 44s are? i wanna redo the exhaust on my truck but i don't wanna make it to loud and obnoxious or drone or buzzy at all. a friend of mine told me to run no cats and straight pipes to duel super 44s running 2 1/2 in pipeing and then have them dump about two feet before the rear axle. he said it only be some what loud if i really dump in to it, and at idle its pretty quite and dose not sound bad. but ive only herd 40 series on camaro's and 350 small blocks on similar set ups on most drag cars, and i know how loud those are.

Super 44s are one of the louder flowmasters out there it will be a little drone on the high way about 3000rpm but other wise there not to loud. Another thought if you did a side pip on each side let it come out after the cab in front of the rear tire this give the noise somewhere to go inside of right under yourself that's what I'd do plus it'd look really cool

Dodge+Ford = always ready
i got the super 40 with no cat and 3" exhaust into dual 2.5". with my 460 it has a nice sounding idle and sounds almost perfect when im getting on it. wish it was a little louder sometimes though haha.

I'm running hooker longtube headers, 2.5" duals with H pipe and dual 44's. My truck is loud, but a deep tone loud. No rasp, crackle, or pop. No drone with pipes exiting straight out the back on my truck. Youtube videos of foxbody mustangs with dual 44's, that will give you an idea.
