I've been thinkin of what a lot of yall sugested about puttin mufflers back on. And the more I think about when I did have straight pipes makes think I would probably be happier with mufflers. After all I was hellion kid when I ran those things. I still want to cut cat out but do yall have any suggestions on certain dual exhaust kits from headers back and mufflers? Something besides cherrybombs(glasspacks) or flowmasters. Is flowmasters the benchmark for a good sounding exhaust or is there others out there that sound just as good and maybe with a different sound or tone? I've looked around and saw different setups but I'm not sure how they sound on a 351. I'm also putting shorty headers on (not sure what brand yet though). I appreciate any suggestions or info.

p.s.- its a 1996 ext cab xlt. I don't have to worry about salt so I should be able to stick with steel pipe etc...

go to youtube and u can hear differnt peoples exhaust...thats what i do when i buy mufflers for mine....pipes violators sound sick just so u know
