Just curious what cold crank rating batteries everyone is running?

I have a f-150(go figure), its an 87 with a 300 L6, thing turns over so slow, when i jump start it, she turns over great, I figure it's the 650 cold crank battery, damn everstart, advance auto junk.

What battery do you have turning your L6? what rating?

 

Optima Red top battery, I "think" it's 850 cca?

 

88 F-150 302w. 850cca My truck did not turn over real well when I bought it. I put a new battery with more cca but it did not help. I ended up replacing my negative battery cable now she turns over with urgency. You may have a diffrent problem as a jump seems to help but I just thought I would share my experiance. Hope it helps.

 

x3 on the 850 or it might be 1000 i know its in that range.

King of Beers that actually helps alot because i think that did smoke. I was like AAAHHHHHH smoke so it maybe but 650 just doesnt seem good enough as well

I just killed a 490cca battery. General consensus here is go for above 650cca?

 

i think my battery is around 750 CCA, and its a wal mart special.... it might be a wal mart special, but its one of the best batteries that i've had, sadly lol
