I'm not going to bother fixing a trans just to sell it, but I did look up a few writeups and videos on how to do it. Doesn't look overly complicated and all I saw for specialty tools was maybe a puller to get the bearing off. You could probably do it.
If shopping for a used trans, make sure it's for a 4x4; the 2WD one has a different tailshaft in it.
I have found them for as low as $625.00 online. If it helps.

The t-case doesn't need to be rebuilt - just opened & shimmed before the pump stay arm wears through the case rib. Read this caption & the NEXT several:

There is no gasket; just sealant. I used E6000, but you could also use RightStuff or silicone RTV.

My 95 with auto had a thin paper type gasket between tranny and transfer case. I had to replace because of small leak .

Ok, just following up with an update. I had my transmission rebuilt through a local shop. It was a fortune!! $1300.00 I really wanted to try and do it myself but just didn't feel confident about it and also didn't have the time really. It is all put back together now and seems to be driving/functioning just fine. The problem was a worn shift fork. I mean really worn to a very thin state which had slid behind the gear rather than over it and thus causing a solid block. Upon opening it up they also found other wear/damage on some other components. (reverse gear, intermediated gears etc). Hopefully this new one will go the 200,000 that the old one did. I am proactively looking for a 302 to rebuild or one that is rebuilt to do an engine swap if anyone has any information or advice. This is definitely a project I can tackle. I figure this will give me a solid truck for years to come. The reason I want a new engine is mine is worn. doesn't have much compression ( I can turn it easily with a socket on flywheel or cooling fan ) plus it burns some oil and has loss of power. I want to be ready.

Thank you as always for all the help. It is very appreciated and very useful to me.

You still haven't put all the truck's details into your signature - like what engine it has now.
