mabye something to do with audio? its a very odd place for a switch. If i had a moonshine switch it would be on the dash someplace close just incase i needed it.

My guess would be brake light killer, on/off for an amplifier, underglow lighting. Being hidden it has to have been for something, just look for wiring coming out of the back of the bench that isn't original and follow it. Is the bench the original to the truck? People do some stupid crap, bought an S10 once that had toggle switches for head/tail lights, hi-beams, underglow lights, interior lights, push buttons for door poppers and horn, and about 8 toggles and 6 pushbuttons that were not even hooked up to anything. Granted it looked pretty cool. Nothing was marked so for the first few months I had it I was throwing random switches just trying to get something to happen, usually while driving trying to find the hi-beams.

How I fixed/found out: bribed two friends with beer, one for front one for back. Took about 20 minutes flipping every switch, labeled the ones that did something. Then unscrewed the one that didn't do anything and pushed into dash, opened it up and found almost all weren't hooked up to anything. The one that was I followed and found what it was for (amp power wire).
