Im wondering what gears come stock in an 89 f150 2wd with a 302 automatic
or if there is a way to determine it specifically with my truck

 

If you look on the inside of the drivers door at the production tag, there is a place on the bottom that has a axle code. Post the code and I am sure somebody can tell you.

There also should be a metal tag bolted on the axle housing with a code stamped on it that will give you the information. Post that if it is still there.

 

Just match the number with this link, assuming your door is still original and therefore tag, accurate
