Does anyone have a step by step on how to do a 4x4 conversion?

unbolt 2wd stuff put in 4x4 stuff, swap transmissions and get a 4x4 cross member, and the transfer case stuff for the floor of the cab, and a new rear driveshaft.

The simplest order of operations is to sell your 2x4 on craigslist, save up some additional money than buy a 4x4 from craigslist. lol. I'm not sure of how big of a project you are looking for but I'm trying to come at this from a practical angle.

it would probably be cheaper to buy a 4x4 truck. but follow what fordtrucknut said. you need a transmission, tcase, transmission cross member, new rear driveshaft, front axle or 4x4 ttb. its not to complex, just alot of time involved.

Buy that wrecked "nite" f150 for sale on here, then you have all the parts you need! But I agree with what others have said, sell it and buy a 4x4, unless you really love this truck.

Just buy a wrecked 4x4 and use the parts, that's all I did. It's alot cheaper to do it this way rather then sell yours and buy another truck as you have left over parts to sell.
