Steering stabilizers really don't do much of anything. Lots of play in steering is usually a result of worn ball joints, tie rod ends, loose wheel bearings, steering column rag joint, steering gear or a combination or all of them. What did you spend 300 on?

300 with problems still means you've just been throwing parts at it. Spend some time diagnosing first

Replaced drag link on passenger side, When i went to go get it aligned said radius arm "bracket" on passenger side was wallowed out so went got a junkyard one... didn't fit so took it back and just replaced the bushings. Aligned it.

Ok maybe it wasn't 300 i must of added in my lights i put on it too . Figured it up. Spent 60 on cap & rotor, plugs & wires cause i had a miss and it fixed it. Spent 30 on drag link, 10 on bushings, 45 for alignment, 50 on my radius arm bushings ( had to take it to shop), 60 on stabilizer. So spend about 260 on it + the lights but i don't count that as fixing anything.

Where should i attack next? bearings, ball joints and tie rods? I'm not sure how to check the front end. Steering is my most unknown area.

My dad wants to adjust the worm gear in the steering box more... I told him it wont help.

Put the front end on jackstands and have somebody else move the wheel back and forth and see what has play in it. Replace whatever does. Align it. Done.

As far as the balljoints, when it is on the jackstands, grab the tire at the top and bottom and try to wiggle it back and forth (carefully.) If there's a lot of play in it, your balljoints are worn.

Wiggling top and bottom can show loose wheel bearings too
