steering linkage question
So I replaced my steering box today, which was not fun given how heavy it is. But my question is:
There is a plastic "bushing" or something on the rectangular shaft, and I'm guessing that it is there to tighten up the join between the upper and lower sections where they join in the engine compartment.
I had problems trying to get this plastic thing to go into the upper section of the steering staft. Has anyone had a similar problem, and how did you solve it?
