Default steering column issues...need help!!

i have a 1993 f150 4x4. 5.0L i took off my steering wheel because it feels like the shaft itself is broken. i have a lot of up and down play and side to side play. not while turning, just in the steering wheel in itself. when i took it off i noticed the little plastic rings that turns off the turn signal was kinda broke but no biggy. but with the wheel off looking at the column, on the right hand side there are 3 brass prongs one on top of the other. the bottom on of the three is broken off. i dont know what its for, but i do know that my cruise control has recently stopped working.

do you guys know where i can get a replacement for it? and with the play in the wheel itself.o i just need to swap out the shaft itself? it's like a 30 dollar part, which i can do.

thanks guys!!

Sounds like the bearing in the steering column. Take a look at this thread: https://www.f150forum.com/f10/steeri...arings-126017/

As for the other stuff, without seeing it, I'm not really sure. That other thread will probably get you there, though.
