Default Starting problems

I am having a problem trying to get my truck to start and its really starting to get on my nerves. I have a new battery and its good. I got the starter tested and its fine. I replaced the solenoid on the wheel well and i am still not getting anything. What do you think, help would be appreciated. I heard its possible to not line up the gears right when putting in a starter, is that true. Has anyone rewired the starter, how is that? Thanks

This may sound stupid, but is the battery charged up? I know you said it's new and everything. Just a thought.

Oh yea, I've bought alot of parts that were faulty right out of the box. You might have gotten a faulty solenoid or starter.

When you try to start it, does it click or anything?

Fuel supply ok? Spark? Have you actually tested the battery to ensure proper voltage? I once installed a new starter in my truck and it ended up being inconsistent with it's starting abilities. Even though it passed the bench test at the shop, once installed in the truck it couldn't always start the truck. After replacing the solenoids and a lot of swearing, I had them give me another starter and that was the problem.

I don't know of anything about not lining up gears when installing a starter. That should mesh up with the flywheel just fine. What sounds are you getting when attempting to start the truck?

Alright guys i replaced the starter, grounds, battery, and positive leads. Now when i turn the key it clicks even faster and it seems to be pulling alot more power then it should. I dont think it is a spark or fuel problem. I got the truck started by pushing it and dumping it in 2nd and it ran beautifully. I tested all of the connections with a test light and it all looked good. It seems to be pulling alot of power somewhere. And if it helps after i had the truck started i turned the key as to start to see what would happen and i only got a massive drop in the battery. Well i am perplexed and pretty aggravated does anyone have any ideas, thanks for the help so far.
