Starting MAF conversion.
With warm weather soon it's time to hit the salvage yard. Just have a few question before starting the conversion. My trucks a 88 5.8 C6
1. Couldn't I use a harness from a MAF F series and either
a) repin it for a A9L or A9P
b) use a truck ECU and remove the transmission section of harness?
2. What about knock sensor? Does the trucks not have place to instal one?
I've heard that with the mustang ECU may cause pinging do to the exrta weight. My concern is I have no smog & egr. If I have to I will order twEECer and have a file or two built. In that's the case why couldn't a truck ECU work as long as it has the J3 port?
