You don't necessarily need your own code reader. Autozone and AdvanceAutoParts will read the codes for free and give you a printout of what codes came up. You then post them here and someone can tell you what they mean and what to do to fix them.

Really?! I had no idea! I'm not being sarcastic I honestly didn't know that. The Goobers that work in my local autozone rarely get off the counter to get a part for me. That info would, and probably will, save me a lot of headaches in the future
